SKITZO To Celebrate 30th Anniversary With Special One-Off Reunion Show

February 6, 2011

Legendary San Francisco Bay Area thrash/crossover band SKITZO will celebrate its 30th anniversary by playing a "big" show in the summer featuring a one-time reunion of Ron Klinger on guitar, Jason Sullivan on drums and Lance Ozanix on bass/vocals, with a huge extravaganza guitar memorial to Ken Springer. According to the group, "a chock-full of a whole group of past guitar players will join us on stage for a mega-metal show."

Commented Ozanix: "Wow — 19 releases and various tours, TV and DVD films and soundtracks. We are happy to let you all know we are still doing it. SKITZO made it into the book of Encyclopedia Of Metal and are proud of that as well."

SKITZO's most recent full-length album, "Five Point Containment", was released in May 2007 via Open Grave Records. The album includef special guest appearances by Jeff Becerra (POSSESSED),Phil Demmel (VIO-LENCE, MACHINE HEAD),Sickie (THE MENTORS),and John Marshall (METAL CHURCH, BLIND ILLUSION).
